http://poestories.com/read/annabellee --"Annabel Lee" A Poem
http://poestories.com/read/telltaleheart -- "The Tell Tale Heart" A short story
Presented above are a Poem "Annabel Lee" by Edgar Allan Poe and "The Tell Tale Heart" also by Edgar Allan Poe. Although both works are by Poe, "Annabel Lee" is a poem and "The Tell Tale Heart" is a short story. Two completely different types of works.
Many great authors have many different avenues of writing, they do not just stick to one thing. Edgar Allan Poe is a great example of this concept. Authors can often further express themselves using two avenues of writing.
Go to both of the links and read the stories. How are they different? How are they similar? Which one do you like better and why?

Favorite Books!

Everybody has a book that left an impact on their life. Everybody has a book that they have read multiple times and that they have read inside and out. Maybe this book was a book from your childhood, maybe this is a book that you have read in class.
For me, this book is actually a book series. It is the Harry Potter series. This series is what really sparked my passion for reading. I cannot count how many times I have read the books, or nor can I express to you how well I know the characters. This is a book series that I cherished in childhood and one that I still love.
What is your favorite book or book series? Why do you like this book? Have you ever read anything else by the same author?
